How to Build a Cable Railing System?

FAQs
Muzata stainless steel posts come pre-drilled, so you don't need to drill holes yourself, making installation easier and saving time.
The 4-ball rule means no gap in a cable railing system should allow a 4-inch ball to pass through. This safety code ensures children cannot slip through. Muzata’s brushed cable posts are designed to meet this rule.
In general, basic wood railings are cheaper upfront, but metal railings can be more cost-effective in the long run due to lower maintenance costs.
The standard railing post height is usually between 36–42 inches (about 91–107 cm), depending on local building codes and design requirements.
Since Muzata handrail length is 6'6", we typically divide it into two 39" sections to reduce waste and enhance safety.
For a single section, we recommend keeping the distance between posts no more than 5 feet, and for continuous sections, no more than 54 inches. This is to ensure safety and the longevity of the railing system.
