Beautiful Handrails

The hand rails turned out great. We put a backer board up first and attached the hand rail to it. We found cutting the hand rails to be difficult, but figured the best way and it turned out great. We were wondering if the inserts to connect the pieces together could have been longer than 6” to keep the connection from twisting a little. It turned out just fine and we’re extremely pleased. First time working with stainless steel

The rail is great looking and strong. It came well packaged in plastic wrapped with bubble wrap in a cardboard box. If I had realized the difficulty or working with stainless I would have gone with a wood rail. Needed to buy special cobalt drills for the holes and only got about 30 holes on a bit so needed to replace bits. Tried cutting with a friction metal blade in a chop box but it melted the paint in the cut area. Then used a sawzall with a metal blade which worked quite well but again only got 5 cuts per blade. Tough stuff this stainless. I taped the foot of the sawzall and taped the ends of my clamps but still ended up with scratches. All these issues are do to my lack of experence and limited shop space and tools to work with painted stainless. The product it self is great.
