Muzata 6'6" LED Aluminum Lighted Handrail

We found the handrail itself very good and straightforward. Client is very happy with outcome.

One issue was the transition from guard rail to handrail on the steps.

We had to reset the drop down 2 times due to not being able to get the vertical drop piece to stay plumb. The adjustable rail inserts make it possible to adjust for the correct angle, but do not provide enough strength to keep the handrail stable when pressure is applied when tensioning the cables.

We started with a 65' long, 10' deep patio slab and extended the deck to about 75' long and 26' deep; added a 42' x 16' pergola style shade structure, leaving a retainer wall on the perimeter that needed a deck rail.

We contacted Muzata for assistance with design and Harper walked us thru the entire process, using lighted handrail, CK21 cable tensioners and undrilled posts (due to irregularities in the retainer wall height). Drilling the posts was a breeze and allowed us to use smaller holes for the line posts, which turned out beautiful.

The installation went smoothly with great guidance from Muzata videos, excellent tools (such as the hydraulic swage tool and cable cutters), and Harper was always available to help with any questions. Fantastic support!

Installed RBG-W LEDs in the rails so we can "change the mood" with color or just plain warm white lighting. The railing diffusers eliminate "hot spots" from the LEDs nicely.

Just finished the project and couldn't be happier. The finished rails are very sturdy and cosmetically appealing while not overly obtrusive in appearance. A fine finish to our patio project!

Wrong posts ordered

I used a waterproof Philips Hue strip that fit the channel perfectly. Works with any 12V strip under 5/8" width. Just be sure to fully seal strip connections. Lights up my stairs nicely!

The LED channel is genius! Lights my deck stairs at night for safety. Warm glow through diffuser. Handrail connectors included for easy install. Really unique product!
